Built from Hope.
Driven by Community.

Established by Bhupi Ghimire of Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN), the NaraTika Community Learning Center is a $500,000 holistic development hub born from a 2012 survey that revealed critical gaps in education, healthcare, and infrastructure in rural Okhaldhunga. The center is named in honor of the founder’s parents, Nara Kumari Basnet and Tika Bahadur Ghimire—a resilient mother who championed education despite her own illiteracy and a pioneering father who was the village’s first teacher. By providing resources for all ages, from early childhood development to adult agricultural training, the center transforms their legacy of sacrifice into a sustainable “human blessing,” empowering marginalized communities to thrive locally rather than migrating for opportunities.
